The programme was inaugurated by Dr. J.K.Mishra, Director IPSAR.. In his inaugural address he gave an outline of the objectives and accrual benefit of the programme to the students. In the fast changing scenario in the field of business management in general and financial system and financial management in particular, the students and professionals have to keep abreast with knowledge generation, he observed.

The speaker of the first session of the day one Mr. Koundinya dealt with at length the modalities of the commodity markets and in the second session Mr. Kawadkar discussed the trading terms and trading mechanism in the MCX. On the second day Mr. Koundinya took up the issues relating to the commodity Futures and in the second session Live Demonstration of Traders Workstation (TWS) was shown to the students by Mr. Kawadkar. On the final day the subject for the analysis was ‘Option Strategy’ to be followed while trading with options. The students were explained the systems, procedures followed in clearing & settlement mechanism and Delivery mechanism in MCX.

In all thirty three students actively participated in the program. Mrs. Kavitha Acharya, Sr. Faculty (Finance) coordinated the program.

Mr. Sarogi addressed the second session of the day. He underlined the importance of Technical Analysis in the modern times and information required for it. He went on to explain the issues involved with the assistance of Dow theory, technical chart of TCS, Infosys, BSE Sensex, NSE Nifty etc. His presentation dealt with all modalities involved in Technical Analysis.

The sessions were followed by lively discussion in which the students participated. Mrs. Kavitha Acharya, Sr. Faculty (Finance) wound up the seminar and proposed vote of thanks to the speakers and participants.
